1946-2011 Always one step ahead
CEMB was
found 1946 in by entrepreneur Luigi
Buzzi.
The
company’s flagship balancing and vibration testing for the
automotive industry. Guided by Luigi’s vision over the past
50 years, the company and it’s valued
associates have established a reputation built on trust, reliability
and a long-term, partnership-based approach to all facets of the
balancing industry, development and operations management.
Today, BL-Systems, Inc. / CEMB
continues to deliver superior balancing
and vibration machines and the very best in reliability and accuracy,
together with robust equipment to enure premium returns on
investment among mid-to large
scale garages and auto manufacturers around the globe. Always
one step ahead the company’s evolution includes
significant achievements, state of the art solutions and milestones:
2008 Milestones
Nowadays CEMB is run by Ing. Luigi Buzzi’s son, Carlo, who is a graduated mechanical engineer and is an expert in electronics. Ing. Carlo Buzzi is the actual CEMB President and technical director as well as holder of many international patents.
1996
During 1996 CEMB has obtained the ISO 9001 certification for the whole range of products. For this reason the entire engineering process is entrusted to the managers, technical staff and the workers employed within the company. Thanks to this quality policy, CEMB currently represents the benchmark for the entire domestic market and currently exports about 2/3 of its turnover in countries throughout the world.
1977
1977 which was the time of the great computer revolution, which was destined to radically change all the old production and control processes. Alongside his father in the management of the company, Carlo Buzzi gave a considerable boost to the new designs based on the latest digital technologies. Microprocessor applications were conceived for automatic control of the balancing machines: real time measuring of operative and tolerance parameters, automatic eccentricity correction, automatic correction of the unbalances, prerecorded balancing programs, graphic display of the processing data and statistics. All of this together with processor-controlled wheel balancing machines also designed, as well as computerized systems for motor vehicle diagnostics. Portable computerized vibration monitoring and testing instruments are produced. High precision monitoring and supervisory systems are developed. The application of the new technologies has in no way changed the basic policy: that of assuring the final quality by continuously monitoring the quality of individual phases.
1970
In
1970 he published the book Balancing, in the 543 sheets of which he
put all his experience and the results of many years of study. This
publication
was unique in Italy and in the world, and has been greatly appreciated
by the
experts; it was soon out of stock and in the eighties the author
revised it and
published it again split into different booklets, basing on the
different
balancing subjects. These booklets are still now at disposal of
technicians and
students. CEMB.
Continuing development.
Carlo Buzzi, motivated by the same passion for techniques joined his
father s
company.
1969
In 1969 CEMB starts the production of the new industrial balancing machines with hard bearings. Mr. Luigi Buzzi was the deviser of 28 patents.
1957
In 1957 Mr. Luigi Buzzi founds CEMB, which at that time was the first factory in Italy in the field of balancing machines, and the sixth in the world. Since the beginning, CEMB is characterized by high specialization, flexibility and constant innovation of technical solutions. Some years later, Mr. Buzzi creates a new department, involved with research and development in the rising field of electronics, in order to study its application to traditional systems and to the monitoring systems of great plants.
1954
In 1954 he builds the first balancing machine fitting an electrodynamic watt metric system, which is still now considered one of the most reliable systems.
1952
In 1952 he starts the production of hard bearing balancing machines for motor-vehicle wheels.
1946-1949
From 1946 to 1949 he starts the production of mechanical resonance balancing machines, and later on, of stroboscopic balancing machines, with particular sensitivity and sturdiness.
1946
CEMB’s founder. Ing. Luigi Buzzi was always motivated by his passion for balancing problems. In 1946 he builds the first balancing machine: a state of the art solution, covered by patent.
